Another anticipated bureaucratic reshuffle in UP after decision on Chief Secretary?

The anticipated major bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh is likely to take place only after the centre’s decision on the Chief Secretary. Recently, 22 officers of the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) in Uttar Pradesh have been promoted to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre. The officers promoted under the State Civil Services quota are all of senior PCS rank, with three women officers among them. Most of the officers belong to the pre-1983 recruitment batch. Therefore, reshuffle in state administration is expected soon. Also, the incumbent Chief Secretary Singh currently holds several key positions, including Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner, Chairman of Pradeshiya Industrial & Investment Corporation Of Uttar Pradesh Limited (PICUP), CEO of Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) and UP State Highways Authority (UPSHA), and Project Director of UP Diversified Agriculture Support Project (UP-DASP).
